Spicy Southwest
Shrimp

Ingredients:

  •    1 lb. fresh shrimp, peeled, deveined, tails on

  •    1/3 c Big Sur Gourmet Spicy Southwest

  •    salt & pepper to taste

 


Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Pour Spicy Southwest (shake bottle vigorously before pouring)into a baggie and add shrimp.  Zip it fully and massage shrimp in oil so it's completely covered.  Marinate refrigerated for 1 hour. 

  3. Place shrimp on cookie sheet in a single layer in hot oven for 8 minutes.  Remove, cool slightly and serves as an appetizer.  Serves 4-5 

 

As an entree, serves 2-3; remove tails before cooking.

 

  • Drizzle over eggs

  • Use in your marinade for beef

  • Try mixing in with some sour cream for a wonderful dip for chips and veggies!

  • Mix in with some ground meat to make a FANTASTIC chipotle burger

  • Sauté veggies or use in any chicken dish where spice and garlic are enjoyed

  • Drizzle on cold or hot pasta

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs chicken wings

  • Big Sur Gourmet Spicy Southwest

 

Directions:

  1. Place chickens wings in a resealable plastic bag with enough Spicy Southwest to cover. Place in the refrigerator and marinate over night.

  2. Cook on a hot grill until wings are browned and cooked through.

Spicy Southwest Turkey Burgers

Spicy Southwest

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey

  • 1/4 c Big Sur Gourmet Spicy Southwest

  • 1/2 c finely chopped onion

  • 2 tbls fresh cilantro, chopped

  • 1 tsp seasoned salt

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese

  • 4 hamburger buns, split and toasted

 

Directions:

  1. Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat, and lightly oil grate.

  2. Place the ground turkey, onion, cilantro, Spicy Southwest, seasoned salt, and black pepper in a bowl; mix well. Form into 4 patties.

  3. Cook the hamburgers on the preheated grill until the turkey is no longer pink in the center, about 4 minutes per side.

  4. Place the mozzarella slices on the patties 2 minutes before they are ready.

  5. Serve on the toasted buns.
